// True meaning of Life and Love//

Too often our goal in this world is convenience, comfort or luxury, and too often it is in relation to how we “feel”.  It makes me wonder why we tend to strive for these things when we have something so much greater to strive for.  

“My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” b

Jesus is coming back soon.  No one knows when, except God, but the time of rejoicing in Heaven, the time of the marriage supper, the time of true and utter defeat of evil is coming soon.

Which makes me wonder why we revert to such selfishness of living for ourselves, living in luxury and ease, when we have a purpose.  Shining the Light, bringing the wanderers back from their wandering, sharing the love of Jesus to a broken world.

“As it is, you boast in your arrogance.  All such boasting is evil.  So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it it sin.” a

What we know is right we do not always do.  But God is faithful, and He will not leave us to fight this honorable fight alone.

“Now may the God of peace himself santify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” c

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” d
